44th NESC Career Panelists

Excitement is building as we approach the 44th year of the Northeastern Storm Conference! One of the more interactive and useful events for students takes place March 9th (Saturday afternoon) from 4:45 pm to 5:45 pm. This is the career panel! A selection of successful meteorologists and weather enthusiasts from different sectors of the field will be readily available to take questions from any member in the audience about advice, on-the-job experience, their interests, and any other related matters that can help students get started on their journey to the field themselves! This year’s panelists are listed below:

Jay Dobensky: NWS Skywarn Spotter | Entrepreneur | Principle Tech Company | National Weather Association | Storm Chaser

John Goff: Skywarn Trainer | Senior Forecaster at NWS Burlington

Alicia Bentley: Former Graduate Student | Alumna and Honorary Volunteer in the Department of Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences for University at Albany | NWS EMC Social Media

David Dombek: Expert Senior Meteorologist at AccuWeather | Forecaster | Graduated from Penn State

This session will be moderated by NVU Lyndon AMS & NWA’s President Francis Tarasiewicz and Vice President Jessica Langlois.

We look forward to seeing everyone next month!
